Tanusree (Tanu) Sreedharan is a public health professional from the San Francisco Bay Area. As a first-generation South Asian American woman, she believes that representation is vital to improving research and access to health resources. Tanu has experience in the San Francisco Bay Area with children, youth, and families for over 5 years and over 4 years in city and state government.
After working directly with communities, she pursued her MPH in Epidemiology from Columbia University. She has experience in a variety of settings including grant-funded organizations, city and state government, and healthcare technology. Tanu has held leadership positions in student organizations, engaged in mentorship throughout her career, and led intradepartmental health promotion events. She looks forward to contributing to the field using her cultural wealth and desire for change.
